Precise Abrasive Metering Valves
The secret to saving thousands of dollars of abrasive each year!

MicroValve™

p12_pic2Your Blast Machine comes fitted with a MicroValve™ as standard equipment. This ingeniously simple abrasive metering valve can meter your abrasive flow much more accurately than any conventional valve. In fact when retrofitted onto an old Blast Machine, operators tell us that the pot lasts twice as long, before running out! If you ever need to repair it [you may never have to - it is very high quality] it simply comes apart with just two bolts.

Less Abrasive also means less dust when blasting

Smart operators keep their abrasive flow metered back to a minimum. This reduced abrasive consumption is also a secret to reducing dust when blasting! You can see what you are doing easier, and you create less annoyance to others around. MicroValves™ mean less abrasive to purchase, less to carry to site, less frequent down time to fill the pot and less site clean up and disposal costs.

Thompson II Valve™

p13_pic2As an option, your Sseries™ Blast Machine can be fitted with a Thompson II valve™. Giving exceptionally accurate abrasive metering coupled with instant start/stop response, - ideal for spot blasting. These normally closed valves are standard on multiple outlet Blast machines so each operator can work independently of any other.

The Thompson II Valve™ is a fail-safe valve, giving optimum operator safety. On shut off, it cuts the abrasive flow to the nozzle and seals the tank at the same instant. Building on the original, market leading Thompson Valve the Thompson II Valve™ offers an even higher level of performance, enhanced serviceability and longer life. This is the metering valve of choice for abrasive blasting specialists.

Optional Thompson II Valve™ allows you to have more than one outlet on your Blast Machine.

Fast Start/Stop for Spot Blasting

For those projects where you must only blast small areas or rust spots, you’ll appreciate the very fast on/off control the Thompson II Valve™ allows. Blast a spot there and another over here without ‘dragging’ the blast and damaging the coating in between. The Thompson II Valve™ gives almost instantaneous starting and stopping control.

Abrasive Cut off and Blowdown Option

A remote abrasive cut-off is available for Thompson Valve™ systems, allowing you to stop the flow of abrasive, while continuing to blow air only. This provides a quick and easy way to clear the blast hose and to blow the blasting area clean of abrasive. Just flick the optional switch at the Deadman handle.
